I cannot login to my MT5 account on the desktop app.

If you cannot login to your MT5 account, please check the error message in the ‘Journal’ tab in the bottom left corner.

The ‘Authorization failed’ error message means you have entered the incorrect login details.

Please type in your login details manually and double-check whether your account number and password are correct. Make sure you did not include any extra blank spaces or capitalisations by accident.

Next, check whether you have selected the correct server – 'ThinkMarkets-Live' for a live account or 'ThinkMarkets-Demo' for a demo account. If the server address is not displayed automatically in the drop-down list, type it in manually.

If your login details are correct, but you still get the 'Authorization Failed' or 'Invalid Account' error, please reset your trading account password.
