What is a National Insurance Number (NINO)?

The National Insurance Number (NINO) is a number used in the United Kingdom for the National Insurance or social security system.

Why do we require your National Insurance Number?

In 2018, the financial regulations under MiFID II came into effect with enhancements on the Transaction Reporting regime. All UK residents that transact in CFDs (instruments traded on an underlying exchange) are reportable under MiFID making the NI Number a non-negotiable requirement.

Where can I find my National Insurance Number (NINO)?

It is indicated on the Payslips, P60, and Letters about your Tax, Pension or benefits. If you don’t know your NINO, please visit here.

What if I don’t have a Tax Identification Number (TIN)?

You can obtain the official confirmation of your TIN from your local Tax Department.
