How do I set a trailing stop loss on MT4?

Step 1: Click the ‘Trade’ tab in the bottom left-hand corner of the platform.

Step 2: Right-click the position you’d like to set a trailing stop for.

Step 3: Hover your mouse pointer over the ‘Trailing Stop’ tab.

Step 4: Click ‘Custom’ and then enter the value. For example, if you want to set a 50-pip trailing stop loss, you must enter 500.

Step 5: Click ‘OK’.

The trailing stop loss is now set. Keep in mind that you need to leave your computer and the platform on to keep it active.
