Yes. Automated strategies can be used with eligible ThinkMarkets synthetic indices on supported platforms.
On MetaTrader 5 (MT5), synthetic indices support features including:
- Expert Advisors (EAs);
- custom indicators;
- trading scripts; and
- strategy backtesting.
An Expert Advisor can monitor the market and place or manage trades automatically according to its programmed rules.
Automated trading does not remove trading risk. An EA or script will continue to operate according to its programming and settings, including during fast market movements.
You should therefore understand and test any automated strategy before using it with a live trading account.
