The following steps are the same for installing an additional MT4 platform as a desktop app on your PC and a Virtual Private Server (VPS).
Step 1: Create a new folder on your desktop (right-click your desktop, select ‘New’, and then ‘Folder’). Next, name the new folder ‘MT4 shortcuts'.
Step 2: If you already have one ThinkMarkets MT4 platform installed, please rename your ThinkMarkets MT4 desktop shortcut to the account number it is associated with or other identifying descriptions and move it into the folder you have just created.
Step 3: Download the ThinkMarkets MT4 platform from this direct link.
Step 4: Start the installation. When you reach the step in the installation process where you need to select the file location for the platform, please choose a unique location for each installation you complete. To choose your location, please select the ‘Browse’ button. This will open a file explorer window where you will be able to select a file location of your choice.
Step 5: Once you choose a location, use the ‘Create’ button in the bottom left corner of the open File explorer window to create a new folder for your installation. Name your folder, click ‘OK’ and then ‘OK’ again.
Step 6: If you receive the ‘The new file location already exists’ message, please disregard it and proceed to complete the remaining steps of the installation.
Step 7: Once the installation is complete, rename and move the new ThinkMarkets MT4 shortcut on your desktop to the "MT4 shortcuts" folder you created at the beginning of the process.
Complete this entire process for each separate MT4 platform you’d like to install.
