ThinkMarkets follows a back-to-source policy as part of its payment and anti-money-laundering controls.
What does back to source mean?
Funds deposited into a ThinkMarkets account are normally returned to the same verified source from which they were received.
This means:
- third-party deposits and withdrawals are not permitted;
- deposited funds are normally refunded to the original source; and
- where several funding methods were used, the applicable refund priority must be followed.
Credit-card refunds take priority where applicable.
What if the original source cannot receive the refund?
ThinkMarkets may review an alternative withdrawal method.
An alternative is not automatic.
Additional information or payment verification may be required.
The alternative destination must normally be in the same name as the ThinkMarkets account holder.
A bank wire or other alternative payment method should therefore only be used when it has been approved under the applicable withdrawal process.
