The ThinkZero account is a MetaTrader trading account designed for clients who prefer raw or tighter spreads on forex and precious metals, with a separate commission applied to eligible trades.
ThinkZero is different from both the Standard account and the ThinkTrader account.
Which platforms support ThinkZero?
ThinkZero accounts are available on:
- MetaTrader 4 (MT4)
- MetaTrader 5 (MT5)
ThinkZero is not available as a ThinkTrader account type.
How does ThinkZero pricing work?
ThinkZero provides raw pricing on eligible:
- forex pairs;
- gold; and
- silver.
Spreads on these instruments may start from 0.0, depending on current market conditions.
A separate commission is charged on eligible forex, gold and silver trades.
Other supported products are generally spread-only with no separate ThinkZero commission.
What commission applies?
The current commission per round-turn standard lot is:

A round-turn commission covers the opening and closing of the trade.
How is commission calculated?
Commission = trade size in lots × commission per standard lot
For a USD-denominated account:
- 1.0 lot = USD 7
- 0.5 lots = USD 3.50
- 0.1 lots = USD 0.70
What does the “x” suffix mean?
ThinkZero forex, gold and silver instruments use an x suffix in MT4 and MT5.
Examples:
- EURUSDx
- XAUUSDx
- XAGUSDx
The x identifies the ThinkZero version of that instrument.
If the instrument is not visible, open Market Watch and display all instruments available to your account.
Are all ThinkZero trades charged commission?
No.
The separate ThinkZero commission applies to eligible:
- forex;
- gold; and
- silver.
Other supported product categories are generally spread-only.
What is the minimum first deposit?
ThinkZero account requires a minimum first deposit of USD 100, or the equivalent in the account's base currency.
Can I use Expert Advisors?
Yes.
Because ThinkZero operates on MT4 and MT5, supported MetaTrader functionality includes:
- Expert Advisors;
- custom indicators;
- scripts; and
- automated strategies.
Can I have Standard and ThinkZero accounts at the same time?
Yes.
Eligible clients can generally hold multiple trading accounts under the same ThinkMarkets profile.
Can I convert Standard to ThinkZero or ThinkZero to Standard?
No
